Bernd and Nicole Krebes are skilled European tile craftsmen (berndsceramictile.com) who have been creating unique functional artwork in Canada since 2002 when they moved to Nova Scotia from their native Germany.
Our loungers are perfect for the seaside home or summer lodge. Made to withstand salt water, wind and whatever other weather could be thrown at them, the loungers will stay in place all season long. Though durable and able to stand the tests of nature, they’re light enough to be moved by two people (approx. 100lbs.). Sometimes even by one! 🙂
Great form leads to great function – the stone surface absorbs heat from the sun becoming a perfect place to warm up after a quick swim; also a great poolside retreat.
Each chair/lounger is a one-of-a-kind piece with the same amount of expertise and passion going into every new creation. Bernart pieces are handcraftet with the greatest of care and skill. Created from materials like tumbled marble, ceramic, porcelain or glass tiles, they are durable and stylish.

Bernd and Nicole are also creating functional and/or decorative metal art pieces like coffee tables and room dividers. With unique etching techniques, every piece turns out differently. They’re all hand-made. Custom orders are welcome. There is no end to their imagination.
